LOW/NO CARB vs LOW FAT DIETS?

I would like your opinions….LOW CARB diets (ie Atkins, South Beach, etc.) vs all the LOW FAT diets ….. and why??? What do you think makes one more effective than the other??? I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT, or I can’t go on! It seems I am addicted to sweets (never was before), and all I crave and have to have is junk foods!

raise your metabolizem. eat 3 portioned size meals and 3 snacks a day. no more no less.
You cannot cut ALL carbs (or any other food group) out. Carbs are a legitimate food group and necessary for normal body functioning.
That being said, low carb diets are good for getting weight off quickly, but if you reintroduce carbs back into your diet, you can bet on weight gain.
Best way to lose weight is to look at your change as a lifestyle change. Do not view food as a reward, a way to cope with emotions, as your best friend, or as your worst enemy. You need food to survive, but you cannot depend on it for everything. Best way to change your life is to eat all the foods you enjoy in moderation, while introducing more healthy foods. Start off small if the intensity of a lifestyle change is too daunting.
