What can I eat that is low sodium and low carb?

emmy asked:

I have to go on a strict low sodium/low carb diet for one day before a doctor’s appointment on Wednesday. What in the world will this allow me to eat?

    all things natural and unprocessed.

Most hot cereal like oats and farina are good. a lot of cold cereals are good too. veggies like celery& carrots are good any meatless salad with a low carb dressing will work.

Any fresh seafood like salmon, mahi-mahi, red snapper, and halibut are all VERY low sodium. For example, salmon only has 50mg of salt and ZERO carbs in 3oz!!

You can bake or pan grill each of these with a little bit of olive oil brushed on the pan/foil and season it with lemon pepper and salt substitute along with some fresh steamed broccoli and a glass of water.
